I recently started doing sparring trianing. Actually it is a part of any boxer’s routine whether he or she is just a beginner or expert. You need to have focus in this kind of activity so you can develop a good technique and power. Aside from a reliable sparring gear, you need to have a partner that is quite essential if you want to practice the real sparing action. A coach will be a good person to assess if you are ready to do some sparring. There are two levels of sparring. Both of them are needed to be supervised by a good coach.
Body sparring is where you can punch from neck to use. Equipment to protect the head is recommended although no head contact is allowed. It can help in preventing untoward incident. Remember that you need to buy good quality protection that could help you avoid stray punches. Sparring is a good way to condition the body. Open sparring is where they allow punches in the body or head. This time, body equipment is necessary. Practice self control in order for you learn. Don’t miss a session with your coach if you are really serious about everything. Train hard to be able to keep up with it. –>

Boxing is a sport that most Filipinos show interest and pride in. Mostly because of one Professional Boxer who frequently brings home the bacon for the Filipino hearts. Manny Pacquiao, took over as the foremost boxer in the world, announced last June 9, 2008, after years that Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced his retirement from boxing. He is the first Filipino and Asian boxer to win four world titles in four weight divisions. He is currently the WBC Lightweight Champion and the WBC Super Featherweight Champion, and was the former world champion at IBF Super Bantamweight, and WBC Flyweight divisions. To this date, among 52 boxing fights Manny Pacquiao has competed, he won 90% or 47 fights, and out of these wins, 35 were wins by knock out. Only 2 were declared draws and 3 as losses. –>
